Our vineyard has an address: Botev Revolutionary Road No. 42. It can be reached by public transport from anywhere in the country.
On May 31, 1876 Hristo Botev and his band of freedom fighters were greeted as liberators by local people in Tsakov's vineyard. Yes, Ivana is a direct descendant of this legendary winemaker- she is his great-great- great-great granddaughter. After one day of rest and festivities, Botev and his Rebels continued on their path to immortality. Each year thousands of people take a pilgrimage on Botev's Revolutionary Road and on May 31 our vineyard is surrounded patriotic people and their colorful tents.
The vines were removed in mid- 1950 and between 1958 and 2013, Tsakov's vineyard just a bare meadow. Our adventure began with bringing the vineyard back and completing a full revolution cycle – from a bare meadow again into a vineyard, back the way it was when Botev marched their Revolutionary Road through it.
Dimitar and vine-seeking dogs, specially trained for the purpose are sifting through our vineyard-to-be for baby vines that survived the first winter. Few did. But we did not give up.
Despite temporary setbacks our team did not lose hope.

Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Franc and Syrah in a way that no one offers
In the company of birds or how to love your enemy. The bird nests in our vines show that our grapes are free of chemicals. We know this because we did not put any, but we are happy that these independent experts confirm it.
We will never get tired of seeing how this
Grows into this
The Ritlite Rocks, where we celebrate our victories and gather our strength in days marked by failure. A place out of this world for people out of this world. And aunty Stefka regularly reports alien sightings.
As fans of public transport and supporters of train romance, we strongly advise you to come visit us by train and enjoy a trip through the picturesque Iskar Gorge. One could come visit by boat on the Iskar River as well, but that involves walking around the many hydropower plants on foot. And you would have the carry the boat around too.
By the way, the boat of Baba Iliytsa is still standing and waiting for Botev's freedom fighters. True, the original was not a boat but a simple raft, but then again, the surrounding area holds the memory of the historic events. Not to mention that Baba Iliytsa’s descendants are still around.
The Festival of the Vratsa Muscat 1.0 - The magic of the Rittlite Rocks is inductive. The abundance of Vratsa Muscat and other magnificent wines from the Northwest sparked the festive mood of winemakers and guests. Mark the date August 15 – the Day of the Virgin Mary – and come join us next year!
While the Cherepishki Monastery serves also as the village church of Lyutibrod, it is better-known for its guests - Sophroniy Vratchanski, Ivan Vazov, Aleko Konstantinov There is also a Monastery refectory (Magernitsa), where Dimitar's great-great- great grandfather was a cook.
Cut Stone is a place in the mountains where aliens and the goats of the Albanian guy roam in free in the winter. Probably the goats build the altar to Yoda. Come visit and we will bring you there to see for yourself.
Wild Cherry - one of the most impressive places in Bulgaria for picking thyme. There we met our Estonian connection Jan (who took the photo) and Kristina. They came for a day and stayed a week. Now they are raising a child and a castle.
Okoltchitsa – no explanation needed. Just get up there and visit.
God's Bridge is a 15-minute drive from our vineyard. The view is spectacular. If it was any closer, we'd visit regularly. But we never have time.
Trifon Zarezan in the Vratsa region or how traditions bend like vine sticks to survive for millennia. The skewer in the photo is a special one used only on Zarezan. It is said that it is directly related to the Sword of Sabazios. We will tell you more about Sabazios, Dionysus and the local Thracian tribe the Tribales when you come to visit. Drinking wine from a jar instead of a glass is a relatively young tradition, dating back to the times of the socialist agricultural industrialization.
Linden forests around the vineyard - a source of intoxicating aromas, home to thousands of hard-working bees and endless quarrels with loggers.
The same forests when the ‘’camels’’ are there. Come and see that Radichkov was right about this place.
