Welcome to Lyutibrod – The Gateway to Bulgaria’s Northwest!
Your journey of Bulgaria’s Northwest starts here, in the hills perched above the Iskar Gorge, surrounded by natural beauty, ancient ruins, the legends of King Shishman’s battles and memories of Botev’s heroic freedom fighters.
After a leisurely hike of the hills above Lyutibrod, soaking the breathtaking views enjoyed by Thracians, Romans, Ottomans over the ages, you will taste our wines at the banks of the river Iskar across the majestic Ritlite rock formation in an elegant setting – clinking of glasses, good cheer, exploring the magical dance of the flavors of the Northwestern wines, learning about local grape varieties, curious locals and tasting Northwestern delicacies: mezze appetizers from Chiren, cheeses from Vratsa and banitsa pies from Zverino. After a few fun-filled hours, we will send you on your way with some bottles (at a special price) to share with friends or to bring memories of this magical day!
If you haven’t been able to visit us yet, you can buy our wines at https://thejollyvintners.com/en/wines/
Prices: seasonal and according the tasting package. For the tasting options, please contact us: dimitar@thejollyvintners.com
Reaching Lyutibrod from Sofia by car takes about an hour and a half. However, we would strongly recommend that you consider taking this journey by train. The train passes through the Iskar gorge – opening up views of the truly embracing cascade of bridges and tunnels, framed by wondrous rocks shaped by the river.
